Korean BBQ - 2 lbs. Ground Beef

Note: for this recipe I like to start with half of the brown sugar called for and add more if needed to avoid it being overly sweet.

1. Cook 2 lb. Ground Beef with 8 cloves garlic (minced) and 4 tsp. ginger root (peeled and minced) over medium-high heat until crumbled and cooked through.

2. Once cooked through, add a scant 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 tsp. Seasame Oil, 1/2 cup Soy Sauce, 4 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce or Sriracha hot sauce. Mix these ingredients into meat.

3. Serve warm over rice with picked veggies and roasted broccoli.

Side Options: Serve over Rice with Pickled Vegetables and Roasted Broccoli.

Helpful Hint: We like to make our own quick-picked vegetables.  We simply thinly slice desired veggies (I love cucumbers, carrots and/or onions with this meal) and pour Sweetened Rice Vinegar over them and all them to sit for about 10 minutes while the rest of the meal is prepared. Super easy to do and well worth it for added flavor profile!

Streams That Flow

The tension of good and hard is always present, but by these winding 'Streams that Flow,' I have found more life, love and kindness than I ever knew was possible. This blog is a stream-of-consciousness style record of the people, places, and even animals that have imprinted goodness and love on my life. Stories that I hope will inspire rituals of beauty, rest and belonging for you too within the flow of everyday life.
